Well, Hitachi managed to raise the bar…they are just about to release a 1Tb hard disk. I thought I would do some playing with the figures to put it into perspective.
1Tb = 1024Gb = 1,048,576Mb
= 455,902 three megapixel photos
= 9, 532 high bitrate albums in mp3
= 745,654 double density floppy disks, a stack about 250m high.
or for the more old-school among you…
= about 354,681 copies of War and Peace
…doesn’t seem that big really.
