With tongue firmly in cheek…
Although next time I am pouring asahi in a sushi-ya I will certainly be thinking ‘Maa maa maa maa’, while wondering about the Taisho’s secret past.

This is a small part of the graphic worm at Bluesfear. A collaboration of many digital artists, each creating a small section of the worm to add to the end.
Some pretty nice visuals here, also fascinating to see how each artist links in with the previous.
Brilliant news report from 1993 on ‘Internet’, a revolution sweeping rec-rooms, offices and classrooms around the world.
I wonder if it will catch on…?

GelaSkins are very thin (< 2mm), protective iPod covers made with premium grade 3M vinyl and adhesive technology. Patented micro-channels in the adhesive prevent bubbles from forming during application. They are crafted using the same process and materials used in the automotive customization industry. An ultra-clear, scratch resistant, glossy coating is then applied to the GelaSkin for added durability and a photo quality finish.
Protection and individuality, available for a range of different iPod models. They are one use only, so when you get bored with the current one it is headed for the bin, but for $15 thats not too bad. The range of different skins is pretty varied too…

Wow, what a combination…meat extract and Irish beer!
Its flavour is described as less salty and less meaty than the original savoury spread. Guinness Marmite is made with a strain of yeast used to make the Irish drink. The spread is traditionally made using a blend of different brewer’s yeasts. Some 300,000 jars of the black-coloured Guinness Marmite will go on sale from this weekend.

This is the video for A Tried and Tested Method by The Longcut, I am not wonderfully keen on the music, but I love the infographic stylings of the video. It is a nice rip-off development of the classic Royksopp video for Remind Me, adding a storyline to the graphics.

Has been a really busy week so I havent really had chance to post much…so to make up for it I bring you the haunting tunes of Nora, the piano playing cat.
nice idea, shame about the rather wooden movement of the car…maybe it drives like that too!

Ok, ninja’s rarely, if ever, use headphones…but if they did, this is how they would be tied.

Ahh…brings hours of mushroom-eating and turtle-stamping right back!
This is a collection of very entertaining videos of various people playing the Super Mario Brothers Theme Tune on various instruments (including Balalaika, Clarinet Quartet, and some nerd Hand Farting it)
Warning: by the time you have seen half of the videos the tune will be stuck in your head for at least 12 hours…

He carves out most of his images from the dark of night with the help of portable lights, the better to control all visual parameters: Each photo I create must be perfectly ordered in my head before I shoot. I hold the camera to my mouth in order to photograph those I speak to. Autofocus helps me, but I can manage on my own: it is simple, my hands measure the distance and the rest is achieved by the desire for images that inhabits me.
Pretty impressive photography, especially considering the photographer has never even seen his own work.

This is possibly the best historical definition of the term Web 2.0 that I have seen. Illustrated in a truly innovative and compelling way…
