Doomed From The Very Beginning

I dunno, maybe it is just me…but a guy who wants to jump a huge river using a rocket powered yellow lincoln and a huge ramp built on a barn is not going to be alive for long.

Getting Closer to The Third Dimension

This is a pretty interesting demo video of a new projection technology which allows (simulated) 3d objects to appear in space inside a huge prism. I get the feeling it may be limited to large tradeshows rather than playing some 3d Doom, but still it looks pretty nifty.

I do, however, think that the material which is being shown on the screen is of pretty poor quality, I guess they don’t want people to notice it isn’t actually 3d, just a floating image.

A New Angle

a space shuttle launch seen from the iss

A fantastic image of the Space Shuttle Atlantis taking off from Cape-Canaveral, of course the unique thing is that it is taken from the International Space Station. Just in case anyone is interested, while hunting for the name of the shuttle, I found a video of it taking off (but shot from the ground).
